Describe the effect physically - what it is, where on the subject it starts, how it moves, the light it casts back on the scene. Vague prompts are the #1 thing that makes outputs look fake. e.g. "a glowing blue energy orb forms in his open right palm, then erupts forward as a beam, casting blue rim-light on his face and arm, embers trailing, cinematic."
